Why take an enzyme supplement? You can't always eat the way you know you should every day. Even if you eat well, you can't be sure you're getting all that your body needs to function at its best.
You may feel that your body isn't "processing" the foods you eat as well as it should... or the way it used to just a few years ago.
What are enzymes?
Enzymes are specialized proteins which break food down into particles small enough to be "absorbed" by the body. Once the enzymes have worked to break down the fats, proteins and carbohydrates in the food we consume, the "goodness" from the food is used to support our reserves of energy and maintain muscle tone and strength. It only makes sense to do all we can to ensure that the total supply of enzymes in our bodies is sufficient for the work it has to do!
Doesn't the body create its own enzymes? Yes. Each of us produces enzymes in the mouth, the stomach, the intestines and the pancreas. But our bodies may not produce all the enzymes we need.
But I eat well... don't many foods contain enzymes? Yes. Most raw foods contain enzymes. But most natural enzymes in food are destroyed in one of a number of ways. For example, the beautiful, crisp carrots you buy at the market lose a large percentage of their enzyme content if you steam them, even lightly, or microwave them, or bake them into muffins or carrot cake.
How will a supplement help? EnzyDigest may prove beneficial to you in one of a number of ways.
Your body checks its own "enzyme level" constantly, and draws upon its enzyme supply (those produced by the body, from raw foods consumed, or provided from a supplement) based on its immediate requirements.
When you take EnzyDigest, you know you're providing your body with all the "enzyme insurance" it needs until the next meal.
If I decide to supplement the enzymes my body produces, then shouldn't I look for the highest possible concentration available?
No! You should look for a supplement that provides the right concentration... just what your body needs.
I've heard that as we age, our bodies produce fewer enzymes. It that true? Yes. It is known that all of us, as we get older, produce fewer enzymes.
I suffer from gas, especially after eating certain foods. Will EnzyDigest help? Gas is simply a symptom that the body is having difficulty digesting, or "processing" food. As we've explained, the body produces its own enzymes to extract the "goodness" from food. It may be that you are not producing and/or consuming enough enzymes to handle certain foods.
When I look in health food stores, I see dozens of different enzyme names. How do I know which ones will work best for me?
Each capsule of EnzyDigest contain a concentrated formula of digestive enzymes your body requires.
What is the daily recommended intake and how are the enzymes packaged? The recommended intake is 2 capsules twice a day with food, and there are 120 capsules per bottle.
