Clinical Study - Comparison of Fibresonic vs. Metamucil for Colonic Function & Hypocholesterolemic Action.
Twelve month study conducted by Dr. Tapan K. Basu, Professor, Department of Agricultural, Food & Nutrition Science at the University of Alberta. Study was conducted with 23 subjects all over the age of 50.

Conclusions of Colonic Function Study:
80% of the subjects using Fibresonic showed an increased stool volume and a decreased bowel transit time compared to 50% using Metamucil. These results clearly indicated that Fibresonic is as effective as or better than Metamucil for constipation alleviation.

Conclusions of Hypocholesterolemic Action:
50% of the subjects using Fibresonic showed a 15% increase of HDL-cholesterol while Metamucil showed no variation of blood cholesterol.
