Here's how to start building your Matol Business and other FAQs about becoming a Matol Distributor:

STEP 1: Enroll as a Matol Distributor
Complete the Distributor Registration & Agreement Form contained in your Distributor Business Builder Kit. Please make sure to fully complete the document and print clearly in the appropriate spaces provided. You can either fax it to 1-800-363-8890 or mail it to the Home Office.

STEP 2: Making your Monthly Order
Make your first order of products for personal use. We recommend you sign up on Autoship (The forms are included in the Distributor Business Builder Kit), so your products will be sent to you each month automatically. You may make additional orders at any time during the month by calling Order Entry at 1-800-363-1890 or Order Online.

STEP 3: Building a Downline of Retail & Preferred Customers and Distributors
Talk to others about the Matol products and business opportunity. Make a list of people you know who are interested in their health, already take nutritional products or who may have health problems. Also, someone who may be interested in earning extra money with a home-based business in their spare time would make a great prospect.

Independent Distributor Rights
Matol Independent Distributors are entitled to:

  1. Sell Matol products and profit from these sales.
  2. Participate in the Matol Compensation Plan.
  3. Enroll/sponsor individuals into their network organization.

There are no territorial restrictions within the United States, Canada and Mexico, their territories and military bases for marketing, networking or enrolling/sponsoring purposes by Independent Distributors.

Annual Renewal
Every Independent Distributor must renew their Distributor Registration and Agreement on an annual basis coinciding with their original registration acceptance date for a nominal fee.

As a courtesy, Matol mails out renewal reminders but it is ultimately the Distributor's responsibility to keep their annual renewal up to date.

Annual Requalification
Independent Distributors at all levels must requalify each and every year in the month that their Distributorship renewal fee is due.

If an Independent Distributor does not requalify by their renewal month, they will maintain their title, however their entire downline organization, with the exception of first level Retail and Preferred Customers, will be permanently transferred to their upline sponsor.

As a courtesy, Matol mails out requalification reminders but it is ultimately the Distributor's responsibility to maintain their requalification volume.

Check Processing - Royalties and Bonuses
Royalty and bonus checks are mailed on the 15th day after a commissionable calendar month with the exception of the Retail Volume Bonus checks which are mailed on the 25th day after a commissionable calendar month.

Independent Distributors who earn a monthly royalty check of less than $5.00 will be issued a credit for the amount on their Matol account. Once an accumulated amount of royalties equals or exceeds the minimum amount, a check will be processed and mailed.

Royalty checks are mailed together with an earnings recap. The purpose of a recap is to help Independent Distributors manage their downline organization.

Buy-Back
Any Independent Distributor who wishes to terminate their Independent Distributorship through the Buy-Back policy must notify Matol of their intention by sending a letter to Home Office. The letter must be signed by all parties listed on the Independent Distributorship and must acknowledge the fact that the individual(s) listed on the Independent Distributorship may never again become a Matol Independent Distributor.

Unless otherwise indicated by law, the Independent Distributor has 12 months from the date the items were purchased from Home Office to forward their letter of intention to proceed with a Buy-Back. The Matol Independent Distributor will be reimbursed 90% of the value of the original invoice(s), less shipping and handling charges. The merchandise being returned must be in its original packaging, unopened, in resalable condition and is current and marketable inventory.

Any advancement in the Matol Compensation Plan, bonuses or awards achieved as a result of these purchases will be reversed and the amount(s) deducted from the Independent Distributor's refund and/or from any upline(s) who profited from these purchases. However, before the Buy-Back is executed, Matol will make reasonable effort to contact the upline Independent Distributor(s) affected. The upline Independent Distributor(s) will be given the opportunity to Buy-Back the items themselves. If the upline Independent Distributor(s) choose(s) to Buy-Back the items, it is considered to be a private business transaction between the Independent Distributors, not a Buy-Back, in which case there would be no need for Matol to cancel the Independent Distributorship or make adjustments to the upline Independent Distributor(s) account(s).

Ordering Methods
A minimum order is required whenever an Independent Distributor orders Commissionable Product directly from Matol. There is no minimum order requirement for Retail and Preferred Customers.

When placing your order you must have readily available:

  1. Your Matol Identification Number (M.I.N.).
  2. Your Visa or MasterCard, credit/debit card number and expiry date.
  3. Item and quantities you wish to order.
  4. Ship to address, with telephone number and area code.

Telephone Orders
Independent Distributors may place orders by calling our toll-free numbers Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. eastern time. Telephone orders may only be paid by Visa and MasterCard credit/debit cards.

Voice Mail Ordering System
Independent Distributors may also place their orders, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through Matol's Voice Mail Ordering System. This is a fully automated ordering system available to all Independent Distributors and can only be accessed through a touch-tone telephone line. Credit/debit card purchases are approved during office hours only.

Fax Orders
Independent Distributors may also place their orders by fax. All information must be printed legibly in dark ink on a Product and Sales Aids Order Form. Fax orders will only be processed if the information on the form is fully completed. Fax orders can only be paid by Visa and MasterCard credit/debit cards.

Mail Orders
Independent Distributors may also place orders through the mail by sending a duly completed Product and Sales Aids Order Form to Home Office, along with their payment in full. Mail orders may be paid by Visa, MasterCard credit/debit cards, money order (International money orders in U.S. funds for U.S. orders) and certified/cashier's check.

E-mail Orders
Independent Distributors may also place orders via e-mail through info@matol.com. or via their personal Matol Office web site. E-mail orders can only be paid by Visa, MasterCard credit/debit cards.

Shipping and Handling Charges
Shipping and handling charges are based on the Retail Price of each order. The rate for ground shipments in the continental U.S. and Canada is 6% (3% shipping plus 3% handling) and 8% (4% shipping plus 4% handling) in Mexico, or a minimum of $5.00. Where air freight is required shipping and handling fees are higher.

Customer Satisfaction Guarantee
Matol offers to its Retail and Preferred Customers, through its Independent Distributors, a 100% unconditional, full money-back Customer Guarantee. If, for any reason, a customer is not entirely satisfied with a product, they may return the product or any unused portion to the Independent Distributor within 30 days after the purchase. It is the responsibility of the Independent Distributor to immediately provide the customer with a full refund. Matol will replace returned product to the Independent Distributor when a duly completed Customer Refund Warranty Form has been received at Home Office.

Customers purchasing directly through Home Office must submit to Home Office a request for a refund along with the product or any unused portion of the product within 30 days after the purchase. They will then receive a full refund less shipping and handling charges.
