There is no purchase necessary in order to enroll as a Independent Univera Associate, other than the Univera Starter Kit.

Here's how to start building your Univera Business and other FAQs about becoming a Univera Associate:

STEP 1: Enroll as a Univera Associate
Complete the Associate Registration & Agreement Form contained in your Associate Starter Kit. Please make sure to fully complete the document and print clearly in the appropriate spaces provided. You can either fax it to 1-800-363-8890 or mail it to the Home Office in the USA or Canada.

STEP 2: Making your Monthly Order
Make your first order of products for personal use. We recommend you sign up on Convenience Plan (Autoship), so your products will be sent to you each month automatically. You may make additional orders at any time during the month by calling Order Entry at 1-800-363-1890 or Online.

STEP 3: Building a Downline of Customers and Associates
Talk to others about the Univera/Matol products and business opportunity. Make a list of people you know who are interested in their health, already take nutritional products or who may have health problems. Also, someone who may be interested in earning extra money with a home-based business in their spare time would make a great prospect.

Independent Associate Rights
Univera Independent Associates are entitled to:

  1. Sell Univera products and profit from these sales.
  2. Participate in the Univera Compensation Plan.
  3. Enroll/sponsor individuals into their network organization.

There are no territorial restrictions within the United States and Canada, their territories and military bases for marketing, networking or enrolling/sponsoring purposes by Independent Associates.

Being an Associate or Associate of Other Companies
Univera acknowledges the Independent Associate's legal right to work with other network marketing companies, although we strongly recommend focusing on Univera exclusively. The practice of concentrating one's efforts on several business endeavors has proved time and again to be unsuccessful. There is one common trait among successful networkers: a strong focus and concentration on a single opportunity at one time. Any Independent Associate or individual associated to the Independent Associate, including but not limited to, a spouse or partner, who is an owner, partner, executive, or official spokesperson of another direct selling or multi-level marketing company, may not represent Univera as an Independent Associate. Any violation of this policy may result in legal action and/or termination.

Annual Renewal
Every Independent Associate must renew their Associate Registration and Agreement on an annual basis coinciding with their original registration acceptance date for a nominal fee.

They will have the balance of their renewal month plus 2 consecutive calendar months to pay their renewal fee and maintain their downline organization under the same sponsor. If the renewal fee is not paid within this time frame it will result in the subsequent loss of all sponsorship and bonus rights, including the transfer of their downline organization to their upline sponsor.

As a courtesy, Univera mails out renewal reminders but it is ultimately the Associate's responsibility to keep their annual renewal up to date.

Payment of Commissions and Bonuses
Royalty and bonus checks are mailed on the 15th day after a commissionable calendar month.

Independent Associates who earn a monthly royalty check of less than $5.00 will be issued a credit for the amount on their Univera account. Once an accumulated amount of royalties equals or exceeds the minimum amount, a check will be processed and mailed.

Buyback Policy
Under no circumstances, does Univera exchange products from Associates and Customers.

Any Independent Associate who wishes to terminate their Independent Associateship through the Buy-Back policy must notify Univera of their intention by sending a letter to Home Office.

Unless otherwise indicated by law, the Independent Associate has 12 months from the date the items were purchased from Home Office to forward their letter of intention to proceed with a Buy-Back. The Univera Independent Asscociate will be reimbursed 90% of the value of the original invoice(s), less shipping and handling charges. The merchandise being returned must be in its original packaging, unopened, in resalable condition and is current and marketable inventory.

Once the shipment has been verified, a credit will be issued by check or issued on the credit card originally used for the purchase. The Independent Associateship will then be permanently terminated.

Any advancement in the Univera Compensation Plan, bonuses or awards achieved as a result of these purchases will be reversed and the amount(s) deducted from the Independent Associate's refund and/or from any upline(s) who profited from these purchases. However, before the Buy-Back is executed, Univera will make reasonable effort to contact the upline Independent Associate(s) affected. The upline Independent Associate(s) will be given the opportunity to Buy-Back the items themselves. If the upline Independent Associate(s) choose(s) to Buy-Back the items, it is considered to be a private business transaction between the Independent Associates, not a Buy-Back, in which case there would be no need for Univera to cancel the Independent Associateship or make adjustments to the upline Independent Associate(s) account(s).

Shipping and Handling Charges
Shipping and handling charges are based on the Retail Price of each order. The rate for ground shipments in the continental U.S. and Canada is 6% (3% shipping plus 3% handling) or a minimum of $5.00. Where air freight is required shipping and handling fees are higher.

Customer Satisfaction Guarantee
Univera offers to its Customers, through its Independent Associates, a 100% unconditional, full money-back Customer Guarantee. If, for any reason, a customer is not entirely satisfied with a product, they may return the product or any unused portion to the Independent Associate within 30 days after the purchase. It is the responsibility of the Independent Associate to immediately provide the customer with a full refund. Univera will replace returned product to the Independent Associate when a duly completed Customer Refund Warranty Form has been received at Home Office. Independent Associates have 30 days after they refund money to a customer to submit their claim for the replacement of the goods. Univera also reserves the right to confirm any and all information relative to a Customer Refund Warranty request. Independent Associates who submit a Customer Refund Warranty request must have purchased the retailed product within a 3 month period. The 100% money back guarantee is a consumer guarantee and does not apply to Independent Associates.

Customers purchasing directly through Home Office must submit to Home Office a request for a refund along with the product or any unused portion of the product within 30 days after the purchase. They will then receive a full refund less shipping and handling charges.
